Wealth Management, LLC Privacy Policy

We at Braver value your business and are focused on helping you reach your financial goals.  We understand that your privacy is important to you and we are committed to safeguarding client information.  Since your privacy is a priority to us, Braver will not share information about you with unaffiliated third parties without your consent, except as explained in our Privacy Policy below.

The Information We Collect About You

You provide personal information to us when you have Braver prepare your tax return, produce a financial or a retirement plan, provide an investment review, analysis, or plan, complete an investment account application, request an investment transaction, or help you with a loan application.  This information may include your:

  • Name, Address & Telephone Number
  • Social Security or Taxpayer Identification Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Driver’s License Number
  • Email Address
  • Assets and Liabilities
  • Income and Expenses
  • Net Worth
  • Account Information (Account Numbers and Balances)
  • Investment Activity

How We Handle Your Personal Information

Upon joining Braver, all employees are informed of the confidential nature of the information to which they have access.  All employees are required to sign an employment agreement, which includes a confidentiality clause.  Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

We do not sell or give information about current or former clients or their accounts to unaffiliated third parties.  Nor do we share such information except when needed to obtain information or complete transactions at your request.  We do, however, share our information with other affiliated members of the Braver Group.

Here are the details:

  • In order to complete certain transactions or account changes that you direct, it may be necessary to provide identifying information to companies, individuals, or groups that are not affiliated with Braver.  For example, if you ask us to transfer assets from one financial institution to another, we will need to provide certain information about you to both institutions in order to complete the transaction.
  • In some instances, you may request us to send or give information to another of your advisors, such as your banker or accountant, which we certainly will do.  If your advisor contacts us directly, we will verify the request with you prior to releasing any information to that individual.
  • In certain instances, we may contract with outside companies to perform services for us, such as our annual audit.  Where necessary we will disclose information we have about you to these unaffiliated third parties.  In all such cases, we provide the third party with only the information necessary to carry out its assigned responsibilities and only for that purpose.  And, we require these third parties to treat your private information with the same high degree of confidentiality that we do.
  • Finally, we will release information about you if you direct us to do so, if we are compelled by law such as in connection with tax reporting, or in other legally limited circumstances (for example, to protect your accounts from fraud).

Opt Out Provision

If you do not want any personal and/or confidential information shared with any other Braver entity, please contact our office by telephone, email or letter and we will ensure that no such information is shared except as required by law or authorized by you.

What You Can Do

For your protection, we recommend that you do not provide financial or account information to anyone unless it is necessary to do so.  If you become aware of any suspicious activity relating to any of your accounts, please contact us immediately.

We’ll Keep You Informed

As required by Federal law, we will notify you of our privacy policy annually.  We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, but rest assured that if we do, we will notify you promptly.
