Managing Director
Walter joined Braver Business Strategies as Managing Director, Talent Management Consulting, in 2008. His focus is on working with senior executives to identify critical organization and people issues that impact business performance. He works with clients to develop practical ways to improve performance through effective Talent Management practices that deliver value to the business.
Prior to joining Braver Business Strategies, Walter’s experience included roles as Vice President, Talent Management & Strategic Staffing for The Hartford Financial Services Group, Corporate Vice President of Executive Development at Cablevision, and Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of United States consulting operations for Saville & Holdsworth, Ltd., (SHL), a publicly traded international human resources consulting firm. Walter was also an EVP and principal at Navient, a startup HR software and consulting firm, as well as a partner in a Boston consulting firm that focused on Executive Coaching and Leadership Development.
Over the past twenty years he has worked with a wide range of organizations from startups to Fortune 100 companies over a variety of industries from financial services to media, bio tech and manufacturing. His experience as a consultant, corporate executive and operating manager, allows him to address talent and organizational issues from a broad business perspective. He brings a depth of expertise and experience to the following areas: Leadership Assessment, Development and Coaching; Succession and Talent Planning; Employee Engagement; Performance Management; Change Management and Organizational Development.
Walter is a licensed psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Boston College, his Master’s degree from Columbia University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College.
