North Cambridge Catholic High School Students Visit Braver
On Friday, May 28th Braver’s Newton office had the AP Econ class from North Cambridge Catholic HS visit. They arrived at 10am for a tour, and joined Braver employees for pizza day. Kristin Costa and Tony DiRubio, Managers at Braver did an amazing job preparing and presenting two mini-courses on Economics and Tax, and Personal Finance for College Students for the seniors. Also, two of Braver staff accountants shared their journeys from college to accounting to help the students learn about picking a major and starting a career.

2010 MGI North American Conference
On May 19-21 Patrick Riley, Jim Prescott and Alison Simons attended the 2010 MGI North American Conference held in Seattle, Washington for accounting firms worldwide. Alison Simons, Marketing Director at Braver was invited to speak on the Member Firms’ Marketing Panel. They were also able to enjoy some of what Seattle has to offer; including a Salmon Bake (pictured to the right) and a Wine Tour. Braver continues to foster relationships with fellow MGI members with the goal of having the resources to serve our clients as they expand nationally and international, being hired by fellow MGI members to do peer reviews or consulting work in a variety of areas, or to receive referrals as the opportunity may arise.

Braver is Proud to Support PRESIDENTS AT POPS
Brad Sharp, Director of Client Services of Braver Wealth Management had 7 clients attend the Presidents at Pops 29th annual celebration totaling over 7mm in assets with Braver Wealth Management. The concert was filled with Patriotic music along with a special tribute to the Kennedy brothers, John, Robert and Ted. There were four narrators of the piece on the Kennedy family (Robert DeNiro and Morgan Freeman to name two). There was also a tribute to the NYFD. There was a flag that was pieced together with other flags from disasters around the country displayed throughout the concert over the orchestra. It was truly a great evening.
Braver proudly displayed a full page ad in the concert program. All clients and employees enjoyed a wonderful evening at the POPS.
Braver Sponsors RI Community Food Bank Fundraising Event
The “Women against Hunger” committee of the RI Community Food Bank recently hosted a fundraising event, the witness to hunger opening reception. Braver PC was one of the event sponsors. Several Braver PC representatives were in attendance at the opening reception on May 19th.

Braver/Bostonian Group Non-Profit Seminar Series
Bostonian Group and Braver PC hosted three round table discussions in March and April to help non-profit leaders and Board members understand the ins and outs of compensation benchmarking and reporting. They covered issues such as:
- Good governance practices for non-profits to enhance the organization’s impact and strengthen the public’s confidence in the organization
- Benchmarking compensation for executives of non-profit organizations

Earth Day on Neutaconkanut Hill
On Saturday April 17th, Girl Scouts and Jr. High students from the neighborhood planted an evergreen grove, assisted by Providence College students and members of the Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy. They joined members of the City Council office, and an arborist, as they erected Bird Houses & special Bat Houses on the Hill.
Braver PC sponsored a lunch at the Pinnacles, a place of Native American Worship, where the major activities took place.
